First and foremost, our deepest prayers and hopes for a speedy, full recovery go out to all those affected by the severe floods that devastated and crippled Calgary and many Southern Alberta communities last weekend. Aside from volunteering with clean up efforts if you’re in the area, one of the best ways to help from afar is through a donation to the Canadian Red Cross’ Alberta Floods Fund.

Here’s a very moving and poignant video on the aftermath of the floods created by Calgary filmmaker Bradley Stuckel The video has been viewed over 80,000 times to date.


On Sunday, the world clung on to the edge of their seats as high-wire walker Nik Wallenda, a man of deep faith, crossed over the Little Colorado River Gorge, 1,500 feet above ground.

On Wednesday, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled the Defense of Marriage Act unconstitutional in a 5-4 vote. Here’s a selection of multi-faith reaction, info and views on the ruling.

Last week, before the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision, this also happened.
