The horrific train derailment and massive explosion that has taken 15 lives and has left 60 missing to date also decimated the center of picturesque Lac-Mégantic, Québec. At posting time, a criminal investigation is underway and the train’s engineer has been suspended without pay. The three women kidnapped and held captive in a Cleveland, Ohio home for a decade broke their silence on Tuesday morning by releasing a video to YouTube to extend their thanks for the support and help they’ve received since being freed on May 6. Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and her parents, and Michelle Knight all give statements with McKnight referencing her faith. “We have been hurt by people but, we need to rely on God as being the judge,” she declares. “God has a plan for all of us. The plan that He gave me was to help others that have been in the same situations I have been in.”
