THE 2013 TORONTO ZOOMERSHOW TAKES PLACE SAT., OCT. 26 AND SUN., OCT. 27.
THE ZOOMERSHOW WILL ALSO BE IN VANCOUVER FEB. 22 & 23, 2014 AND IN OTTAWA APRIL 26 & 27, 2014
When it comes to living well, most experts will tell you that the key to a rich existence is quality over quantity. This year’s ZoomerShows, however, will offer guests the opportunity to enjoy both, with over 250 speakers and exhibits offering informed tips and valuable insight into living the best life possible. With nearly 180,000 attendees since the shows’ inception in 2008, each edition has provided a platform for learning and enrichment for Canada’s 45+ — its “Zoomer” population.
Kicking off with this weekend’s Sun Life Financial ZoomerShow at Toronto’s Direct Energy Centre, the three-date event series will bring together some of the biggest names and ideas in areas from health and wellness, to travel, finance, and even pets. Key speakers will include personal finance guru, author, and television host of “Til Debt Do Us Part”, Gail Van-Oxlade, whose sensible approach to debt reduction and tough-love tactics have made her a household name.
Joining her on an impressive roster of guests are nutritionist and co-host of OWN’s “Healthy Gourmet”, Julie Daniluk, presenting on the healing powers of an anti-inflammatory diet, and Bryce Wylde, one of the country’s leaders in alternative health, on the benefits of combining modern and ancient medicine in an individualized approach to wellness.
Juno Award-winning singer/songwriter Alan Frew, of Glass Tiger, the creative mind behind numerous hit songs and iconic themes, will take the stage both Saturday and Sunday afternoon, and Frankie Flowers, Canada’s go-to expert on all things garden-related, will dispense some of the sage advice that has made him a bestselling author with the most respected green thumb in his field.
Live music will be a staple throughout the two-day schedule, with a host of performances as diverse as the show’s exhibitors. From familiar favourites courtesy of Beatles tribute act, The Caverners, to the homegrown offerings of Juno Award-winning guitarist Robert Michaels and the unmistakable voice of the multitalented Beverley Mahood, each featured artist will contribute a vibrant soundtrack to the ZoomerShow’s inspiring program.
Although packed with chances to sample products, learn from experts, and discover new ways to live bigger and better, this two-day event isn’t the only opportunity that Canadians will have to take in the best that the show has to offer. Upcoming events in both Vancouver and Ottawa will also provide unique experiences and information to engage men and women 45+, across the country.
So, whether you’re looking for smart ways to stay active, inspiration for your next getaway, or just a chance to connect with an ever-growing community of Zoomers nationwide, each of this year’s ZoomerShows will be a one-stop shop for the trends and innovations that matter most to you.
