The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney & Neil Young Headlining Desert Trip Music Festival

If you are an avid music fan, especially in the Zoomer age range, you have most definitely sat around at one time or another and thought about who would play your fantasy festival. Well, chances are some of you will now get to experience that fantasy festival in the form of Desert Trip.

Happening October 7-9 at Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, Desert Trip will feature full performances from Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan (Friday); Paul McCartney and Neil Young (Saturday); as well as The Who and Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters (Sunday.)

Each performer will reportedly have a their entire stage production happening at Desert Trip, meaning that the eyeballs of attendees should be as stimulated as their ears. To house the event, a “mini-stadium” will be constructed and feature tons of seating, as well as general admission access.

Needless to say, tickets for Desert Trip are not cheap. Individual three-day passes range in price from $399-$1,599. A single day ticket goes for $199. And yes, these are all listed in American dollars. Tickets go on sale Monday, May 9 at 10am PT/1pm ET.

Of course, there are many reasons why tickets are this expensive, but one giant factor is that (according to Rolling Stone magazine), each of the six performers are being paid $7 million (US) to play.

Yes that’s a lot of money leaving the hands of patrons and entering the pockets of rock n’ roll legends. That said, this is quite the once-in-a-lifetime experience for old school music aficionados and appreciators. Expect Desert Trip to sell out quickly and subsequently be marvelled at for years to come.
