Prince Harry Dishes on Queen Elizabeth II’s Hilarious Viral Video Appearance

This week, the 2016 incarnation of Prince Harry’s Invictus Games has held court in Orlando, Florida. Leading up to the event that sees past and present members of the military participate in athletic competitions, the young Royal got into a brief, yet funny and spirited social media chirping session with President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.

In their video, the Obamas humorously suggested that the U.S. team would definitely outshine the one in which the U.K. was sending to the Invictus Games. For his retort, Prince Harry turned to his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, for assistance.

According to Hello! Canada, Prince Harry asked the Queen if she would like to participate. Her response: “Well, fantastic, what shall we do?”

For her role, the Queen watched the Obama video before snickering and dismissively offering: “Oh, really. Please.” In all, the video was completed in two takes, as two different angles were filmed.

“She’s the Queen, she’s busy!” Offered Prince Harry to Hello! Canada. “You don’t get more than 90 seconds to get that right. Also, she’s so incredibly skilled, she only needs one take.”

He continued: “It was almost as though you could see that look in her face, at the age of 90, thinking, ‘Why the hell does nobody ask me to do these things more often?’”

When it comes to the 2017 Invictus Games in Canada, Prince Harry is certainly aiming to engage in a similar tongue-in-cheek social media beef with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

“I’ll probably drag in my grandfather or someone!” offered Prince Harry. “We’ll have to make a plan.”
