On Monday, May 23 at 9pm ET/6pm PT, VisionTV invites you to tune in for the premiere broadcast of “The Bahá’ís,” a captivating documentary that shines a glowing light upon the Bahá’í faith and those who practice it.

According to the Bahá’í Community of Canada, the Bahá’í faith is the world’s youngest independent religion, having been founded in 1844, in Iran. It’s creator, Bahá’u’lláh, decreed that “God has revealed himself to humanity through a series of divine messengers, whose teachings guide and educate us and provide the basis for the advancement of society.” These messengers included Abraham, Moses, Krishna, Buddha, Zoroaster, Jesus, Muhammad, the Báb, and Bahá’u’lláh.

The religion’s primary message is that “humanity is one single race and that the day has come for its unification in a global society, characterized by both spiritual and material prosperity.”

To date, believers in the Bahá’í faith come from more than 2,100 ethnic, racial and tribal groups from around the world. In all, more than five million people consider themselves as practicing members of the religion.

In “The Bahá’ís” documentary, viewers receive a historical look at the religion and get introduced to a diverse collection of Bahá’í faith members. These individuals discuss what led them to Bahá’í, how it has impacted their lives, as well as why it’s a vital and important religion worth believing in.

Producers of “The Bahá’ís,” Mary Darling and Clark Donnelly of WestWind Pictures, believe that the documentary showcases the religion’s positive influence on society and is capable of stimulating further conversation about Bahá’í.
