Enigma

Concludes Mar 5

Magic, the supernatural, secret cults, past lives, unexplainable occurances, aliens and ancient mysteries are all subjects for Enigma. This new strand of one hour documentaries takes a skeptical but open minded look at topics that have fascinated humankind for centuries. As sceince and technology reveal more about the world, there are enigmas that continue to defy explanation. Beyond rational explanation, these mysteries touch the deepest core of belief. Even sceptics who deny the existence of the supernatural are still intrigued by the consuming notion that there are inexplicable forces at work in the world.

To bring the new documentary strand Enigma to the screen, Vision is working with directors and producers from Canada and around the world. The core of the Enigma team are Donna Zuckerbrot (Reel Time Images), Ken Nutt and Alberta Nokes. All of whom have an on-going interest in ancient religions, the esoteric and the occult. When asked recently if she believed in ghosts, Ms. Nokes replied, "No but I'm scared of them." That summarizes the team's approach: sceptical but willing to be convinced that there really are things that go bump in the night.
