A revolutionary wrinkle-removing cream provides the focal point as Det. Lt. Columbo investigates the murder of young chemist Karl Lessing (Martin Sheen).

Cosmetics manufacturer Viveca Scott (Vera Miles) is suspected of murdering Lessing, an employee who has stolen the formula for a revolutionary cream. As Columbo follows clues she leaves, he discovers Miss Scott is bitter rival of David Lang (Vincent Price), who planned to buy the formula from Lessing.

Sian Barbara Allen guest stars as Lang’s secretary, who engages in industrial espionage for Miss Scott. (1973)
