Kirstie’s back for the festive season and this year she’s celebrating everything that makes a magical British Christmas. Kirstie’s Handmade Christmas is taking inspiration from around the UK from the snowcapped hills and castles of Scotland, to the rolling hills of England and glowing lights of London.

This week, Kirstie is in the Highlands at Blair Castle’s Christmas Fair lapping up the latest creations in the wonderful world of Scottish craft, from tweed with a twist to glamourous handmade jewelry that’s hard to resist. She’ll sample locally made delicacies and wonder at the workmanship of locals creating captivating crafts from pottery to needle felted Highland cows.
And to keep the pressure on, the Christmas craft competitions are back. Kirstie’s gathered together the cream of the crafting crop to compete to take the crown for this year’s best gingerbread houses, Christmas trees and paper creations.

This week, Kirstie is at Waddesdon Manor’s Christmas Fair in Buckinghamshire where they take Christmas to a whole other level. If you’re looking for a bit of Christmas glamour, this is the place to find it, with countless stalls selling thousands of amazing creations.
Kirstie is also in food heaven as she discovers a range of culinary delights from homemade pickles and chutneys to Christmas puddings and hand-crafted chocolates.
Wednesday, December 20
This week, Kirstie is hitting the bright lights of London. She’s heading to the iconic Columbia Road Christmas night market in Hoxton for a hit of urban chic and a proper Christmas knees-up. There will be mulled wine, carols and general festival fabulousness, not to mention an amazing array of shops selling wonderful handmade gifts and goodies.
To add to the talent on show, Britain’s best crafters will be competing in three more Christmas competitions.
