Dame Edna Everage (BARRY HUMPHRIES) is persuaded to host her own series. “The Dame Edna Experience!” is the talk show to beat all talk shows as the irrepressible Australian unleashes her spiked wit and charm on a host of international celebrities including Jerry Hall, Charlton Heston, Sean Connery, Jane Fonda and Chubby Checker.

Everage describes the show as “an intimate conversation between two friends, one of whom is a lot more interesting than the other”.

Written by and starring Australian satirist Barry Humphries, the series aired for the first time in 1987.  It was directed by Ian Hamilton and Alasdair MacMillan and produced by London Weekend Television.

September 5: Jane Fonda and Chubby Checker join the Dame in her exclusive Mayfair residence.

September 12: Vivienne Westwood, Derek Jameson, Magnus Magnusson are in the company of Dame Edna Everage, as is Liza Minelli who performs “Sorry I Said.”

September 19: The Rt. Hon Edward Heath, the beautiful Dusty Springfield and the burly Dolph Lundgren are entertained by Dame Edna.

October 17:  Dame Edna Everage is joined by Sean Connery, Cliff Richard and Mary Whitehouse for fun, fun and more fun.

October 24:  Dame Edna Everage is in the company of Joan Rivers, Jeffrey Archer, Zsa Zsa Gabor and Cliff Richard and Demis Roussos performs “Forever and Ever”.

October 31:  Housewife – superstar Dame Edna Everage meets Larry Hagman, Arthur Marshall and Jane Seymour.

November 7:  Could Dame Edna Everage have met her match when she meets Germaine Greer? Other guests are Charlton Heston, Zsa Zsa Gabor and Nana Mouskouri who performs “Over the Rainbow” and “Moondance”.

November 14:  Dame Edna Everage entertains Jerry Hall, Charlton Heston and Patrick Litchfield.
