If you’re feeling weighed down with the excess of grief and gore that seems to permeate TV and film in general these days, we have something in store that will hopefully bring some serious uplift to your entertainment. Beginning November 17, Great Movies are coming to Saturdays at 6pm ET/3pm PT on VisionTV starting with the very popular Signed, Sealed, Delivered/Lost Letter Mysteries series, providing viewers with a much needed dose of comedy, mystery, romance and hope.
Created by Touched By An Angel producer Martha Williamson, the 17-part (21 in the U.S.) series of Signed, Sealed, Delivered/Lost Letter Mysteries features aims to rekindle the type of heartfelt stories that can inspire audiences with a refreshingly warm perspective. “People kept asking me, ‘When are you going to make a show again that we can watch with our family?'” said Williamson.

Lost Letter Mysteries - Truth Be Told
Originally aired on Hallmark Channel, the Canadian-American series follows four lovable postal workers (referred to as “The POstables” by a dedicated fan base) who must track down the intended recipient of lost mail that finds its way into the Dead Letter Office. For old-fashioned romantics, the stakes couldn’t be higher as delivering these forgotten letters often means reuniting lost lovers, thwarting danger, or simply giving someone a second chance. As each case resolves itself by the end, there’s always a new adventure ahead in the endless sea of envelopes waiting for someone to read them.
Lead by the dedicated and faithful Oliver O’Toole (Eric Mabius), the team’s newcomer Shane McInerney (Kristin Booth) ditches her pragmatism for a belief in fate and reconciliation that paints each story. “So essentially in the 20th century it was angels, and now in the 21st century it’s what is it like to live as a Christian in this world?” said Williamson. “It really is an exploration of how watching this one woman who just really is fascinated by Oliver, and frankly, may well be falling in love with him, dealing with a man who wants to do the right thing, who absolutely wants to do the right thing.”

The series also features an impressive list of guest stars including Valerie Bertinelli, Valerie Harper, Della Reese and Carol Burnett. “We book-ended that with Carol Burnett who just turned in one of the most amazing, fun and wonderful episodes,” said Williamson. “Carol is so collaborative and I actually found myself at one point saying to Carol, “You know, that’s not funny enough. Let’s see if we can make it funnier.” And she said, “OK, let’s see, what should I say, what should we do?” And I stopped and said, “I’m telling Carol Burnett this isn’t funny enough?” But she was wonderful.”
Lost Letter Mysteries - Family Reunited

Infused with warm-hearted comedy, intriguing mystery, and a remarkably charismatic cast, each Signed, Sealed, Delivered episode is a breath of fresh, feel-good air. Crystal Lowe (Rita) and Geoff Gustafson (Norman) add extra pluck and specific expertise to the POstables team, with each character’s relentless optimism and desire to do good in the world exuding the kind of positivity that’s rarely seen on screen anymore and deserves to be celebrated for its value.

“We’re going to do whatever we can to sort of put a little light back into the world,” Williamson said. “We do it with television and that’s what we’re going to try to do again.”
Lost Letter Mysteries will air on VisionTV Saturdays at 6:00pm ET/3:00pm PT beginning November 17.
The two most recent Signed, Sealed, Delivered movies, “Road Less Travelled” and “To The Altar” will premiere on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 9pm ET and Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019 at 9pm ET.
