Download free episodes now and get into the lives and loves of three generations of traveling performers aboard the steamboat called the Cotton Blossom on the Mississippi River.

The Pulitzer-Prize winning 1926 novel by Edna Ferber and the 1927 stage musical of the same name by Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein II, also inspired the film Show Boat starring Kathryn Grayson, Ava Gardner and Howard Keel. It became the most successful film adaptation of a broadway musical in 1951.

Show Boat airs on VisionTV Monday, Sept. 12 at Midnight ET and Saturday, Sept. 17 at 4pm ET / 1pm PT.

You already know Marilyn Lightstone as an actress famed for stage and screen roles, as the author of the theatrical caper Rogues and Vagabonds as the voice of VisionTV and OneTV and the host and creator of VisionTV’s Your All Time Classic Hit Parade, so it’s safe to say that Marilyn can truly identify with and capture Ferber’s musical prose and delicious characters – the strong-willed heroine Magnolia, her forbidding mother Parthy, the soft-hearted Captain Andy, and perhaps the most important character of all, the commanding, mystical Mississippi river.
