Dee Hart Dyke is one of Britain’s best amateur gardeners and a highly experienced and knowledgeable plantswoman. In this series, Dee is driving throughout Britain meeting those who are opening up their gardens to visitors through the National Garden Scheme (regarded by many as the horticultural bible).

Dee will visit those about to open their gardens for the very first time, explore some of the most established gardens in the yellow book – from the classic to the eccentric, and – all the while – she’ll try to convert her daughter, Miranda Hart (Call the Midwife, Miranda), to the joys of gardening. Miranda will be narrating her Mother’s journey through the nation’s gardens.
