George Hamilton and Lesley Warren guest star as lovers who become suspects in a homicide investigation in Columbo: A Deadly State of Mind.

Dr. Marcus Collier (George Hamilton), head of a university-sponsored psychiatric research project, romances wealthy Mrs. Nadia Donner (Lesley Warren) while treating her for emotional problems. But the arrangement is shattered when the woman’s husband Karl (Stephen Elliot), an influential university trustee, threatens Collier with the loss of his prestigious university position unless Collier reveals the name of Nadia’s lover. Collier, in a moment of panic, eliminates Donner and involves his unstable lover in a lie to preserve his reputation.
