Leonard Nimoy guest stars as a brilliant surgeon who murders a nurse (Anne Francis) after she suspects he’s trying to kill his colleague, a world famous heart expert (Will Geer).

Dr. Barry Mayfield (Nimoy) cannot accept the fact that Dr. Edmund Heineman (Geer) has invited a foreign heart specialist to the United States to participate with them in a vital research project that they had been working on. Heideman suffers from a serious heart ailment and when Mayfield performs an operation on him he rigs it to kill him within a couple of days.
