In Columbo: The Bye-Bye Sky High IQ Murder, Columbo calls the moves in a mental chess game with a genius who believes he has carried off the perfect homicide.

Accountant Oliver Brandt (Theodore Bikel) has been embezzling his clients’ funds to supplement his wife’s expensive taste. When his partner, Bertie Hastings (Sorrell Booke), discovers his financial misdeeds, Brandt slays him. Investigating the crime, Lt. Columbo plays a mental cat-and-mouse game with his clever adversary.
