Heartland continues to be a multi-generational saga about a family getting through life together in both happy and trying times. The series tells real stories about real people, people who the audience have grown to love and welcome into their homes. It takes a realistic, edgy and humorous approach to its stories with a balance of comedy, drama, adventure and romance, all against the glorious backdrop and stunning vistas of the foothills of Alberta. And of course there are the horses.

Based of the best-selling series of books by Lauren Brooke, Heartland stars Amber Marshall as Amy, Michelle Morgan as her sister Lou, Shaun Johnston as Jack – Amy’s and Lou’s grandfather – and Chris Potter as Tim. Also in the cast are Graham Wardle as Ty Borden, Jessica Amlee as Mallory Wells, Kerry James as Caleb Odell, Gabriel Hogan as Peter Morris, Nathaniel Arcand as Scott Cardinal, and Alisha Newton as Georgina (“Georgie”) Crawley.
