Fresh from their partnership on Little House On The Prairie, Michael Landon and Victor French were reunited in the wonderful, family television drama, Highway To Heaven.

This much loved series originally aired on NBC from 1984 through 1989 and was Michael Landon’s final producing and acting project before he sadly passed away in 1991 from cancer at the age of 54. Landon’s co-star and friend, Victor French, had previously passed away in 1989, just a few months prior to the premiere of Highway to Heaven’s final episode.

More than 30 years after its debut, Highway to Heaven continues to tell timeless, entertaining and moving stories of love, faith and redemption with compassion and humour to today’s audiences.

VisionTV is presenting all 5 seasons of Highway to Heaven as the perfect addition to our afternoon line up of heartwarming family classics including Little House on the Prairie (4pm ET) and The Waltons (5pm ET).

ABOUT HIGHWAY TO HEAVEN

“Whatever you want to do, do it now. There are only so many tomorrows.”

Jonathan Smith isn’t your average helpful handyman, he’s an angel with a mission from God. Accompanied by ex-cop Mark Gordon, whose troubled life Jonathan once helped turn around, he travels the country, guiding the lost and suffering back towards the Highway To Heaven. Whether helping a young boxer pressured to throw a fight or a veteran’s Eurasian daughter feel welcome in America, Jonathan finds a way to bring a little grace and love into the lives of those he touches. And when necessary, he helps things along with a little angel power.

Michael Landon (Little House On The Prairie, Bonanza) stars as Jonathan Smith, a probationary angel sent back to Earth to help troubled humans with their problems in Emmy® nominated drama Highway To Heaven. In life, Jonathan had been an aloof and unfulfilled lawyer, but as an angel, he is sent to Earth to bring love, harmony and understanding to people with troubles – and in doing so, he learns a lot about his own potential for goodness and compassion. Jonathan has not yet earned his “wings” and will not be granted them until the Powers Above determine that he has fulfilled his mission on Earth. His first assignment is to help embittered ex-cop Mark Gordon (Victor French – Little House On The Prairie). It’s not long before Mark “sees the light” and accompanies Jonathan in carrying out his heavenly missions.
