Inspector Lewis, the former working-class foil to the erudite Detective Inspector Morse, and his cool, cerebral partner Detective Sergeant Hathaway tackle murky murders and mayhem in Oxford’s seemingly perfect academic haven.

A spin-off to the series Inspector Morse, Lewis centers around DI Robbie Lewis, a character first introduced alongside John Thaw‘s lead role as Morse. As the series begins, Lewis returns to Oxford following a lengthy assignment in the British Virgin Islands. He is promoted to detective inspector and paired with the much younger DS Hathaway, a Cambridge-educated man who joined the police after giving up training for the priesthood. Chief Supt Innocent keeps them in check and pathologist Dr Laura Hobson is back after being a regular in Inspector Morse. Lewis first premiered on ITV in 2006 and VisionTV will be airing Seasons 1 through 6.
