Adrian Monk (Tony®, Emmy® and Golden Globe® Award Winner, Tony Shalhoub), a brilliant detective in the tradition of master crime solvers like Columbo, Magnum P.I. and Jim Rockford of The Rockford Files, is a uniquely loveable sleuth.

Monk was once a rising star with the San Francisco Police Department, legendary for using unconventional means to solve the department’s most baffling cases. But after the tragic (and still unsolved) murder of his wife, the devastated Monk became obsessive-compulsive, which has caused him to develop an abnormal fear of virtually everything: germs, heights, crowds…even milk. His condition eventually cost him his job, and continues to pose unique challenges in his daily life.

Now working as a private consultant to his former department, Monk continues to investigate cases which the police cannot solve. Even the most highly-decorated detective on the force will never be as good as the illustrious Monk.
