Child survivors of the Holocaust are brought to Windermere in the Lake District of England to recuperate with the help of volunteer therapists. Without their families, they must find kinship in each other.
The Windermere Children is the stark, moving and ultimately redemptive story of the bonds they make with one another, and of how the friendships forged at Windermere become a lifeline to a fruitful future. (2020)
In recognition of International Holocaust Remembrance Day (Jan. 27), VisionTV is proud to present the Canadian network premiere of this powerful film that first aired on BBC in Jan. 2020, marking 75 years since the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau.
