    I didn’t regard Elizabeth as one-dimensional and cold in the novels . . . just a very internalized woman.

    However, what makes Elizabeth such a mesmerizing character is the way in which she transfixes and tears apart the Poldark family.

    I thought it was Ross who tore the family apart in the end, not Elizabeth.
