***VISIONTV CANADIAN EXCLUSIVE*** In November 1978, a U.S. government fact-finding mission led by Congressman Leo J. Ryan arrived in “Jonestown,” a community carved out of the Guyana jungle by Jim Jones, the messianic pastor of The People's Temple cult. Three days later, Ryan's party had been gunned down, and more than 900 members of The People's Temple (including some 300 children) were dead, having taken their own lives in a horrific act of mass suicide. This feature-length docudrama recalls the final days of Jonestown, using re-enactments, rarely seen archival footage, and interviews with witnesses and survivors – including Jones's own son, Stephan.
