As we remain fascinated by the speculation of whether or not we will eventually get a “Downton Abbey” movie (complete with an appearance from Maggie Smith), we now have something new to fixate upon: a Downton Abbey Exhibition.

In April, NBCUniversal International Studios and Imagine Exhibitions revealed that Downton Abbey: The Exhibition will open June 17 at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.

“Seen in over 250 territories, ‘Downton Abbey’ is a global phenomenon and viewers all around the world continue to ask for more,” said Michael Edelstein, President of NBCUniversal International Studios. “Downton Abbey: The Exhibition allows this incredible legacy to live on by offering a multi-million dollar museum quality experience that will delight fans, ultimately extending the connection they have with Downton’s compelling characters and storylines.”

According to Variety, Downton Abbey: The Exhibition will feature recognizable sets from the series, like Mrs. Patmore’s kitchen, as well as the servants’ quarters. What’s more, fans will get a glimpse at “never-before-seen footage,” plus costumes worn by Hugh Bonneville, Michelle Dockery and the aforementioned Smith.

The exhibition will also provide a closer look at the post-Edwardian time period in which “Downton Abbey” takes place. For instance, attendees will be able to learn more about that era’s culture, fashion and historical events.

“Viewers around the globe have avidly followed the adventures of the Crawleys and those that served them for six seasons,” commented Gareth Neame, Managing Director of Carnival Films and executive producer of ‘Downton Abbey.’ “Now, for the first time, Downton Abbey: The Exhibition will give fans the amazing opportunity to travel back in time to step inside the world of ‘Downton Abbey.’”

Singapore will be the first destination for this exhibition’s multi-year international tour. In 2018, this tour will land in the U.S.

Join us Wednesdays at 10pm ET/7pm PT for our encore presentation of the sixth and final season of “Downton Abbey”!
